Objectives of the Course To teach the concepts of electric and magnetic fields, and the interaction of charged particles with fields
To teach the electric and magnetic fields sources, and computation of fields due to sources.
To teach students behavior of magnetic and electric fields inside a medium
To teach the electromagnetic waves, their propagation in free space.
Course Content The course covers electricity, including: charge, electrostatics, Gauss law, electric field, electric potential, simple circuits, and electric currents and magnetic fields including: magnetic forces, induction, electromagnetic radiation, Ampere’s law, Faraday’s law and the origins of electromagnetic waves.
